I made this in college, titled "I AM"

I really can't tell you I had a real concept behind it. I liked the color scheme, aesthetic, and the overall mystique I drew from not really having a clear explanation.

We start out as blank canvases. We go through life and collect experiences that shape who we are. In life, its easy to let our experiences and the stories we tell ourselves define us.

​

but to be defined means to be limited - to allow ourselves to be put into a box.

​

but this project explores that. its a reminder of the dangers of allowing the labels and boxes to become cages. because defining who we are leaves out all of the possibilities of who we can become.
